Which Cisco 7206 router model should I purchase for simple networking and vpn access? There are so many!!?

An old 7206 (network processor engine and 6 half-width 7000-series slots) is overkill unless you can get one cheap or need specific 7000-series cards you can't get in the similarly old modular access router line (1600-, 1700-, and 2600- series).
