What do you think about these "great catches" that have personals ads?

I have come across many personals ads of guys that were just so "hot" and super attractive. They were successful and rich and wanted someone who could fit into the many social events they attended. They claimed to be big important people with many friends and attend all kinds of events around town. They are 40 or 50 and looking for younger women with cheerleader looks and great bodies because they have great bodies themselves. I am always a little suspicious of guys like this because I have a personals ad myself because I don't socialize a lot , don't have a lot of friends, and my job doesn't offer alot of opportunities to meet men. I would think that if these guys are as great as they say they are, they would be able to get a woman the old fashioned way. I think it would be easier to find a woman in their social status at one of the many events that they attend. They sound like egotistic phonies to me.
