Does anybody have a dog thats been diagnosed with wobbler's ?

Our mastiff was diagnosed 18 months ago. By this time he was completely paralysed. He had surgery but after 3 months of normality, it reoccured. We were told that his condition was now inoperable and to have him put down. We took him home instead and nursed him for another 3 months although he was completely paralysed again. We couldn't bear to have him put to sleep and tried a glucosamine product called flexicose. Withing weeks he started improving more each day. Its been over a year now and he is now leaping around like a puppy. If we don't give him the flexicose for a few days he gets stiff and slow so im pretty sure its that which is helping. He's not on any other medication. Does anybody else have any experience with it?
